The Eclipse is a 160mm semi-flush ceiling light with curved polished chrome arms that twist around a central mount, supporting a faceted optical glass shade beneath. The chrome arms form a flowing sculptural pattern that converges at the ceiling plate, while the glass shade hangs 140mm below the ceiling, housing a single G9 bulb (sold separately). The multi-faceted glass refracts light into scattered highlights across surrounding surfaces.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, compact ensuites and utility rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above, the Eclipse provides decorative accent lighting rather than high-output functional illumination. The 160mm footprint fits comfortably in narrow hallway ceilings or above bedroom dressing areas where a larger pendant would overwhelm the space. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light during the day and becomes a focal point when the fitting is lit at night.

The optical glass shade features multiple curved facets cut into the surface, creating internal reflections and prismatic effects when the G9 bulb is switched on. The chrome arms are solid metal with a mirror-polished finish that shows fingerprints during installation but cleans easily with a soft microfibre cloth. At 0.80kg the fitting mounts securely to standard UK ceiling roses without requiring additional reinforcement. The G9 socket accepts LED, halogen or low-energy bulbs up to the maximum wattage specified in the lamp holder marking.

Is the Eclipse dimmable?

Yes, provided a dimmable G9 bulb is fitted and the light switch is connected to a compatible dimmer. The fitting itself has no built-in dimming circuitry. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen and the dimmer model installed.

What bulb does it take?

The Eclipse takes a single G9 capsule bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this fitting with a 3-5W LED G9 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for hallway or bedroom use. Check the maximum wattage marking on the lamp holder before fitting halogen G9 bulbs.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting projects 140mm below the ceiling once installed. This works comfortably in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above. In lower-ceilinged hallways or utility rooms the glass shade may sit closer to head height, so consider the fitting position carefully.

How is the glass shade cleaned?

Switch off at the mains before cleaning. The faceted glass can be wiped gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid household glass cleaners, as spray residue can accumulate in the facet cuts and leave streaks when the light is on.
