Description

The Knightsbridge E27 vintage pendant holder combines a knurled metal lampholder body with a 100mm diameter ceiling rose in a smoked bronze finish, connected by 150mm of black fabric-covered cable. The holder accepts any standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W and is pre-wired with twin 1.5mm² flex, reducing installation time to fitting the ceiling rose and connecting mains supply.

Designed for bare-bulb installations, low-hanging feature lighting over dining tables and kitchen islands, and vintage-style pendant clusters, the holder works with decorative filament bulbs where the bulb itself becomes the design feature. The knurled grip ring on the lampholder body allows for hand-tightening without tools, and the smoked bronze finish pairs with industrial, traditional and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The 42mm internal ring on the ceiling rose accepts standard lampshades, giving the option to add a fabric or metal shade later.

The premium-grade steel construction carries Class II double-insulated rating and IP20 indoor certification, with an earthing terminal included for installations requiring additional safety earthing. The 286mm total projection (ceiling rose to base of holder) gives the pendant enough drop to sit clear of a ceiling rose or junction box without needing additional cable length on first installation. Dimming capability depends on the bulb fitted — most LED filament bulbs marked as dimmable will work with standard trailing-edge dimmers.

The holder accepts any E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with decorative filament LED bulbs between 4-8W for a vintage look with low running costs.

Can a lampshade be fitted?

Yes. The ceiling rose has a 42mm internal ring diameter, which accepts most standard lampshades with matching fittings. The shade sits on the ceiling rose, not the lampholder body.

Is the cable length adjustable?

The cable between the ceiling rose and lampholder is fixed at 150mm and cannot be lengthened without re-wiring. For installations needing longer drops, additional flex can be added above the ceiling rose during fitting by a qualified electrician.

Is this dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb fitted. The holder itself is compatible with dimmers when paired with dimmable LED or halogen bulbs. Check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before pairing with a dimmer switch.
