Description

The Knightsbridge E27 vintage pendant holder is a pre-wired ceiling fitting in antique brass with a knurled grip ring and 150mm fixed drop on black braided flex. The holder takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and is rated for both incandescent and LED sources. The antique brass finish carries a darker, aged tone compared to polished or brushed brass, with subtle tonal variation across the machined surface.

Designed as a replacement pendant holder for existing ceiling roses or as a new drop fitting in kitchens, dining rooms and hallways, the pre-wired construction reduces installation time by delivering the holder with cable and terminals already connected. The 150mm cable drop is fixed, so the pendant hangs at one height once fitted. The holder accepts lampshades with a 42mm internal ring diameter, allowing fabric, glass or metal shades to be added after installation.

The body is machined from premium-grade steel and finished in antique brass, giving the fitting a 51.5mm diameter canopy and a total projection of 286mm from ceiling to base of lampholder. The knurled grip ring around the E27 socket allows bulbs to be changed without touching hot metal. Class II double-insulated construction means no earth connection is required during installation, though an earth terminal is provided for metal lampshades.

What bulb does it take?

The holder takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K to suit the vintage aesthetic.

Can I add a lampshade?

Yes. The holder accepts lampshades with a 42mm internal ring diameter. The shade sits below the knurled grip ring and is held in place by the bulb fitting inside the E27 socket.

Is the drop adjustable?

No. The cable drop is fixed at 150mm from ceiling canopy to base of holder. If a longer drop is needed, an electrician can replace the braided flex during installation, though this voids the pre-wired convenience.

Does it need an earth connection?

The holder is Class II double-insulated, so no earth is required for the fitting itself. An earth terminal is provided for connecting metal lampshades if fitted.
