Description

The Knightsbridge E27 pendant lamp holder is a pre-wired pendant set with a cylindrical brushed chrome lamp holder, grey braided flex loop and a matching 100mm brushed chrome ceiling rose. The E27 socket accepts standard Edison screw bulbs up to 60W, and the holder is T2 rated for both incandescent and LED bulbs. The pendant arrives fully wired and requires only connection to the ceiling supply and bulb fitting.

Designed for use over kitchen islands, dining tables, side tables and worktops where a simple downward pendant is needed, the fixed 272.5mm drop positions the bulb approximately 250mm below the ceiling rose once a standard bulb is fitted. The grey braided flex forms a gentle arc rather than hanging as a straight vertical cable, which gives the pendant a softer profile. The brushed chrome finish pairs with contemporary, industrial and minimalist interiors without competing for visual attention.

The ceiling rose is 100mm diameter and 40mm deep, constructed from premium-grade steel with a brushed chrome finish that matches the lamp holder. The holder itself is Class II double-insulated, so no earth connection is required to the metalwork. The terminal block accepts two 1.5mm² cables, allowing loop-in wiring if needed. The pendant carries IP20 rating for dry indoor locations only.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2700K-3000K for exposed-bulb pendants over dining or kitchen surfaces.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb fitted. The holder itself supports dimming, so if you fit a dimmable LED or halogen bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, the pendant will dim.

Can the drop length be adjusted?

No. The pendant is supplied with a fixed 272.5mm drop from ceiling rose to lamp holder base. The braided flex forms a gentle arc rather than hanging straight, so the bulb sits approximately 250mm below the ceiling rose once a standard bulb is fitted.

Does it need an earth connection?

The lamp holder is Class II double-insulated, so no earth connection to the metalwork is required. However, the terminal block includes an earth terminal for the supply cable earthing, allowing safe loop-in wiring if needed.
