Description

This Knightsbridge E27 pendant holder consists of a 100mm diameter matt black ceiling rose, 150mm black fabric-covered suspension cable, and a cylindrical matt black metal lampholder housing a standard E27 screw fitting. The pendant arrives pre-wired with a single core cable running through the fabric sleeve, reducing installation time to basic ceiling rose fixing and live/neutral/earth connection at the terminal block.

Designed for bare-bulb decorative installations, kitchen island pendants, and utility lighting where a simple drop fitting is required without the bulk of a full pendant shade. The 150mm cable length is fixed and non-adjustable, making this pendant suited to situations where a short drop from ceiling to bulb is acceptable — typically 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights where the bulb hangs approximately 150-200mm below the rose. The matt black finish on both the ceiling rose and lampholder provides a uniform appearance against white or dark ceilings, and the cylindrical lampholder body measures 40mm diameter by approximately 60mm length, keeping the hardware minimal around exposed filament or decorative LED bulbs. The pendant is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations and accepts E27 bulbs up to 60W. The earth terminal allows safe connection of Class I metal-shaded pendants if required.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

No. The 150mm fabric cable is fixed in length and cannot be shortened or extended. For adjustable-drop pendants, Knightsbridge produces separate flex grip kits that allow the cable to be set to any length on installation.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant accepts any standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with exposed filament LED bulbs or decorative globe bulbs where the lampholder hardware remains visible.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating restricts this pendant to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens directly above sinks, or any location where moisture or steam is present.

Does it work with dimmer switches?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb fitted. The pendant itself is passive wiring and will work with any dimmable E27 bulb paired with a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit.
