Description

The Knightsbridge E27 pendant holder is a pre-wired ceiling-mount light fitting with a polished chrome canopy and cylindrical lamp holder connected by a flexible fabric-covered cable. The fitting accepts standard E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W and carries Class II double-insulated construction, so it does not require an earth connection to the ceiling rose.

Designed for kitchens, hallways, bedrooms and utility spaces where a simple overhead light source is needed without a large shade or diffuser, the pendant holder can be used as-is with an exposed decorative bulb, or paired with a separate glass or fabric shade that screws onto the E27 lampholder. The 40mm canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the 150mm cable provides a short drop from ceiling to bulb, keeping the fitting close to the ceiling plane.

The polished chrome finish provides a high-shine reflective surface that pairs with both contemporary and traditional interiors. The fabric-covered cable gives the fitting a softer appearance than bare twisted flex and the cylindrical lamp holder itself is steel rather than plastic, maintaining a consistent metallic finish across the entire visible assembly. The T2 rating confirms compatibility with both traditional incandescent bulbs and modern LED replacements.

Does this come with a bulb?

No, the bulb is sold separately. The fitting accepts any standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W, including LED, halogen and traditional filament types.

Can I use this with a shade?

Yes. The E27 lampholder accepts shade rings that screw onto the threads beneath the bulb, allowing you to add a glass or fabric shade with an E27 fitting ring. Make sure the shade does not exceed the fitting's 60W maximum rating.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb you choose. If you fit a dimmable LED or halogen bulb and connect the circuit to a compatible dimmer switch, the light output will dim. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What does Class II mean?

Class II (double-insulated) fittings do not require a connection to the earth wire in your ceiling rose. The fitting is designed with internal insulation that prevents live parts from contacting the metal casing, making an earth connection unnecessary. This simplifies installation in older properties where earth wires may be absent.
