Description

The Duo is a 41cm diameter cylindrical lampshade with a black fabric exterior and a polished chrome interior. The outer shell absorbs external light while the reflective chrome lining bounces bulb light back out through the open top and bottom, creating a contrast between the matte black silhouette and the metallic glow visible when the lamp is lit.

Designed for table lamps and floor lamps with E27 or B22 fittings, the shade suits living rooms, bedrooms and home offices where a directed light source is needed without visual clutter. The 30cm height and 41cm diameter provide coverage for medium to large lamp bases, with the cylinder profile working in both contemporary and industrial-leaning interiors. The shade fits standard European duplex rings and spider fittings (not included), allowing it to be paired with most table lamp bases and some floor lamp frames.

The black fabric is a tight-weave material that blocks light from passing through the sides, focusing output through the top and bottom openings. What lamp base fittings does this shade work with?

The Duo fits standard European duplex rings and spider fittings commonly used on table lamps and some floor lamps. The shade does not include a fitting ring, so check your lamp base has a compatible attachment before ordering.

Does light pass through the black fabric?

No. The tight-weave black fabric blocks light from passing through the sides. All output is directed through the open top and bottom, with the polished chrome interior reflecting bulb light back out.

What bulb wattage can it handle?

The shade is rated for bulbs up to 100W. Most users pair it with LED bulbs between 8-15W (equivalent to 60-100W incandescent), which provide sufficient output without excessive heat.

Can it be cleaned?

The black fabric exterior can be dusted with a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner or wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For the chrome interior, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately to avoid water marks.
