Description

The Duceri 4.8V 3500mAh is a nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) replacement battery for Duceri emergency lighting units, specifically the EM5WNMCDLK and EM5WNMDLK models. The battery is supplied in a series-wired configuration, delivering 4.8V nominal voltage with a 3500mAh capacity for maintaining emergency lighting operation during mains power failure.

Designed as a direct replacement for the original battery pack in compatible Duceri emergency lighting fittings, this battery restores autonomy to units where the original battery has degraded or failed. The 3500mAh capacity provides the runtime required to meet UK BS 5266 emergency lighting duration standards when paired with the correct luminaire wattage. The battery measures 200mm length by 90mm width by 45mm height, fitting the battery compartment of the specified Duceri models.

Nickel-cadmium chemistry offers reliable charge retention and cycle life in emergency lighting applications, where the battery remains on trickle charge for extended periods and discharges only during mains failure or testing. The series configuration connects the individual cells internally to deliver the 4.8V output required by the Duceri control gear. The battery weighs 420g and ships with wire leads terminated in a standard connector for direct fitment to the luminaire's charging circuit.

Frequently Asked

Which Duceri emergency lights does this battery fit?

This battery is compatible with Duceri models EM5WNMCDLK and EM5WNMDLK. Check the label inside your existing luminaire's battery compartment to confirm the model number before ordering.

How often should emergency lighting batteries be replaced?

Ni-Cd emergency lighting batteries typically require replacement every 4-5 years, or sooner if routine discharge testing shows the battery no longer holds sufficient charge to meet the required autonomy duration.

Can this battery be used in other 4.8V emergency lights?

The voltage and capacity are compatible with many 4.8V emergency lighting systems, but the physical dimensions (200mm x 90mm x 45mm) and connector type must match your luminaire's battery compartment. This battery is sold specifically for the Duceri models listed.

Is the battery supplied charged?

Ni-Cd batteries are typically supplied with a partial charge for safe transport. Once fitted and connected to the luminaire's trickle-charge circuit, the battery will reach full charge within 24-48 hours depending on the charger output.
