Description

The Knightsbridge dual USB charger module combines an 18W Quick Charge USB-A port and a 45W Power Delivery USB-C port in a 50x50mm grey polycarbonate insert designed for euro-module faceplates. The USB-A port delivers up to 12V DC at 1.5A for older devices and tablets, while the USB-C port handles up to 20V DC at 2.25A for fast-charging modern smartphones and laptops.

Designed for modular installation in residential, hospitality and office environments, the module slots into standard euro-module grid systems where individual sockets, switches and USB ports are combined into a single multi-gang faceplate. This allows USB charging to be added to a custom configuration without occupying a full double socket. The 47mm minimum back box depth accommodates the electronics and heat dissipation required for the higher-wattage USB-C output.

The grey finish matches neutral décor and blends with light-toned walls without the high visibility of white or the formality of chrome finishes. The polycarbonate construction carries IP20 rating for indoor dry-location use. The module is certified to BS EN 62368, the product safety standard for audio/video, information and communication technology equipment including USB charging outlets.

What faceplate system does this module fit?

This is a 50x50mm euro-module insert designed to slot into modular grid faceplates. It does not include the faceplate itself — you build a custom configuration by combining multiple 50mm modules into a compatible multi-gang euro-module frame.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 47mm back box depth is needed to accommodate the electronics and allow safe heat dissipation from the USB-C Power Delivery circuitry.

What's the charging output for each port?

The USB-A port provides up to 12V DC at 1.5A (18W maximum) with Quick Charge protocol support. The USB-C port provides up to 20V DC at 2.25A (45W maximum) with Power Delivery protocol support for fast-charging modern devices.

Can it charge laptops via USB-C?

Yes. The 45W USB-C Power Delivery output is sufficient for charging most ultrabooks and smaller laptops. Larger gaming or workstation laptops that require 65W or higher may charge slowly or only when powered off.
