Description

The Dryden 3 is a single-light bathroom wall light with a polished chrome backplate and arm supporting a 130mm opal glass globe. The fitting carries an IP44 rating, making it safe for installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, and includes a 3W G9 LED bulb at 3000K. The solid brass construction is plated in polished chrome, giving a high-shine reflective finish.

Designed for bathrooms, hallways and powder rooms where wall-mounted task lighting is needed alongside a mirror or vanity, the Dryden 3 projects 135mm from the wall and stands 350mm tall, positioning the globe at a comfortable height for grooming and washing tasks. The opal glass diffuses the LED output to reduce glare and create an even wash of warm white light across the wall and adjacent surfaces. The IP44 rating means the fitting is protected against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for positions near sinks and showers where moisture is present.

The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light in the room and pairs cleanly with chrome taps, shower fittings and towel rails common in contemporary bathroom schemes. The solid brass body beneath the plating gives the fitting more weight and rigidity than stamped steel alternatives, and the 3W LED provides approximately 250 lumens output while drawing minimal power. Can this be used in a bathroom shower area?

The IP44 rating means the fitting is protected against splashing water and is safe for bathroom zones 2 and 3. Zone 2 covers areas within 60cm of a bath or shower tray, and zone 3 covers the rest of the bathroom beyond 60cm. It is not rated for zone 0 or 1 (inside the shower cubicle or directly above the bath).

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The fitting includes a 3W G9 LED bulb at 3000K, which is already fitted and ready to use on installation.

Is the light dimmable?

The included 3W LED G9 bulb is not dimmable. If dimming is required, the bulb can be replaced with a dimmable G9 LED and paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch.

What height should it be fitted at?

For bathroom mirror lighting, the centre of the globe is typically fitted at 1600-1700mm from the floor, positioning the light at face height for grooming tasks. The exact height can be adjusted based on ceiling height and the position of the mirror.
