Description
The Droxy is a round recessed LED spotlight that takes a GU10 or MR16 (PAR16) lamp rated up to 10W, giving a focused pool of light from a flush ceiling fitting. It runs on either 12V AC/DC or 220-240V mains, so it suits both low-voltage and direct-mains setups. American buyers will recognise this format as a small recessed can or spot, sized to drop neatly into a ceiling cut-out. The white round trim sits close to the surface for a tidy finish.
Because it carries an IP65 rating on the front, the Droxy is well suited to bathrooms, shower zones and sheltered outdoor ceilings such as porches, soffits and covered walkways. The light from a single fitting works best as accent or task lighting rather than whole-room illumination, so a run of several heads is the usual approach across a ceiling line. Spacing them evenly gives an even wash without hot spots. For damp and exposed positions the weatherproof front keeps moisture and splashing clear of the lamp.
Built from aluminium alloy with a white finish, the fitting measures Ø99 x 34 mm and weighs 140 g, making it light enough for quick installation into a standard cut-out. It accepts a Gx5.3 or GU10 capped lamp, which is supplied separately so you can choose the wattage, beam and colour temperature to suit. The IP65/20 construction protects the visible face for wet and outdoor use. The Droxy sits within our wider Droxy spotlight range if you need matching fittings elsewhere.

Frequently Asked
Can it be used in a bathroom or outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating on the front of the fitting means it is protected against water jets, so it is suitable for bathroom ceilings, shower areas and sheltered outdoor positions such as porches and soffits. Keep the wiring side within a dry, protected void as normal.
Is a bulb included?
No, the lamp is supplied separately. The Droxy accepts a Gx5.3 or GU10 capped lamp (MR16 or PAR16) rated up to 10W, so you can pick the wattage, beam angle and colour temperature that suit the location.
What beam and coverage does it give?
Coverage depends on the lamp you fit, since the Droxy itself is the housing. A narrow-beam lamp gives tight accent throw, while a wider beam spreads light across more of the ceiling area. For general coverage, fit several heads in a run.
How do I clean it?
Switch off and allow the lamp to cool, then wipe the white trim with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the aluminium alloy finish, and make sure the fitting is dry before switching back on.
