Description

Drilvenne is a glass pendant light built around one clean shape: a white globe of matt opal glass, 30cm in diameter, hanging on a fine cable from a round ceiling canopy in satin nickel. The body is steel, and a slim satin nickel stem and cap meet the top of the globe, so the metal reads as a quiet accent against the white. It measures 110cm in overall height. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 60W, and the bulb is not included, which leaves you free to choose the brightness and warmth that suit your room. The IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.

Opal glass diffuses light, so the glow spreads softly through the whole globe rather than showing as a bright point. That makes it a good choice above a dining table, a kitchen island or a breakfast bar, and equally at home in a living room, hallway or bedroom where you want gentle, even light. At 30cm in diameter the globe has the presence to anchor a room on its own, yet it is simple enough to hang as a pair or a trio at staggered heights. Satin nickel and white sit comfortably with grey, cream and natural wood, and suit modern and more classic schemes alike.

There is no switch on the light itself, so it is turned off and on from your wall switch. As a mains light that is wired in, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download.
