Description

Dresessa is a three-light linear pendant: a slim brushed brass ceiling bar with three tapered satin glass shades hanging from it on black cables. The body is steel in a brushed brass finish, and the shades are a sandy, earthy tone with fine vertical ribbing, each one tapering up to a brass holder. The fitting is 90cm long, 20cm wide and 110cm high overall. Each shade takes an E27 bulb of up to 40W; bulbs are not included, so the colour of the light is yours to choose. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors, in a dry room.

A linear pendant earns its place over a long surface, and this one suits a dining table, a kitchen island or a breakfast bar, where three points of light spread evenly along the length rather than pooling in the middle. It also works over a long sideboard in a dining room or hallway. The warm sandy glass and brushed brass sit well with oak, natural stone, linen and soft neutral walls, and they lift a cooler grey or white scheme too. Satin glass diffuses light, so the bulbs are softened rather than seen as bare points, which is kinder on the eyes when you are sitting at the table beneath them.

There is no switch on the pendant itself: it is switched at the wall, and as a wired mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician.
