The Drenvenne is a slim LED bathroom wall light in black: a long, straight bar with a satin plastic diffuser along its front, held on a neat rectangular mount at its centre. It is 59.5cm long, 8cm high and 6.5cm deep, so it sits close to the wall without crowding a mirror or a shelf. The light source is integrated LED, built into the bar itself, giving 1,350 lumens from 11W at 3000K, a warm white that keeps a bathroom feeling relaxed rather than clinical. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it can go in a bathroom as readily as a hallway.

We would put it above a bathroom mirror or a vanity basin, where one even line of light falls across the face and the sink. As a wired-in mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician, and because of its IP44 rating it suits a bathroom, where a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. The black body sits well with grey or white tiling, terrazzo and black taps, and its clean, rectangular lines suit a modern cloakroom or en suite as much as a main bathroom.
