Description

A small ceiling light for rooms where a hanging fitting would only be in the way. The body is 10cm across and sits tight to the ceiling, finished in matt white so it reads as part of the plaster rather than an object stuck to it. It holds a single E27 lamp, and an LED lamp of up to 20W will suit it. Dimming is possible where a compatible lamp and a separate dimmer are used.

We use this one in hallways, on landings and in small bedrooms, and anywhere the ceiling is low enough that a pendant would be knocked by a passing head. Repeated along a corridor they give an even wash of light without drawing the eye, and it is a tidy answer for cupboards, utility rooms and understairs spaces where a bare lampholder has been doing the job. Keep it to dry rooms; a shower room or a covered porch wants a fitting sealed against damp instead.

The matt white finish is even across the cap and the body, with no bright edge to pick up glare from the lamp inside. Dust it with a dry cloth from time to time, with the power off at the switch and the lamp cold before you touch it. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same shape in matt black, antique copper, polished chrome, antique brass, black chrome, satin nickel, gilt bronze and pewter, so a set can be matched to door furniture or kept plain in white, and the wider range runs to curved linear and round pendant frames if you want something with more reach over a table.
