Description

A small polished chrome round, 11cm across and shallow enough to sit close against the ceiling, this is the tidy top end of a hanging flex. It comes with its working parts: a cable grip to hold the cord, an earth wire, and a three pole terminal block for the connections. The chrome is mirror-bright, catching whatever light is in the room, and it is meant to read as part of the fitting below rather than as hardware.

We use these where a pendant is built up from separate pieces and the ceiling end needs to match the shade, the lampholder or the plate on a nearby fitting. Polished chrome suits kitchens with chrome taps and handles, bedrooms with mirrored furniture, and hallways where a single cord drop is the whole light. It is also the piece we suggest when an older, yellowed plastic rose is spoiling an otherwise good pendant: a chrome round lifts the look of the whole drop for very little money. Anyone putting together a pendant over a dining table or an island will want one at the top.
