Dreifa Ceiling Box 11cm - French Gold

This is the small, shallow ceiling box from the Dreifa range, finished in French Gold. It measures 11cm across and sits tight to the ceiling line, so the plated disc reads as a neat gold coin rather than anything that draws the eye away from the fitting hanging below it. It arrives complete with its working parts: a cable grip to take the strain of the flex, an earth wire and a three pole terminal block, all tucked inside the cover.

We reach for these when a customer is putting a pendant together from separate pieces, or replacing a tired old rose with something that matches the metalwork further down the flex. The warm gold tone sits happily with brass and antique-finish pendants, cloth flex in deeper colours and dark painted ceilings. It suits kitchens, hallways, stairwells and dining rooms equally, and because it is a non-electrical part, the light itself comes from whatever fitting it serves. How should the gold finish be cleaned?

A dry soft cloth is all it needs. Avoid metal polishes, cream cleaners and abrasive pads, as these will wear through plated finishes.

Is French Gold the same as the brass gold option?

They are separate finishes. French Gold is a warm yellow-gold plate; brass gold is offered as its own version within the same range.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

It is rated IP20 and intended for dry indoor rooms, so we would keep it to living spaces, kitchens and hallways.
