Dreifa Ceiling Box 11cm - Brass Gold

Small, round and shallow, this is the neat brass gold disc that finishes a flex drop at the ceiling. It measures 11cm across and holds a cable grip, an earth wire and a three pole terminal block, so the connection is kept tidily out of sight behind a plain metallic face. The gold has a warm, slightly yellow cast rather than a hard shine, and the shape stays quiet: a plain circle that keeps the eye on the shade or flex hanging below.

It belongs in dry indoor rooms, and we use it in hallways, kitchens, bedrooms and above a dining table, anywhere a single flex hangs and the top of that drop deserves to look considered rather than incidental. We would choose the brass gold where warm metal is already in the room, on a tap, a door handle or a switch plate, and a white plastic version would sit awkwardly. On a plain ceiling it reads as a small piece of jewellery, which is often exactly what a bare flex and shade arrangement needs.
