Description
The Dodo is a slim, upright floor lamp with a small tilting head, built to aim light where you want it rather than wash a whole room. The diffuser on top adjusts, so you can point the pool down onto a book, a desk or the arm of a chair. It reads as a fine metal stem topped by a compact shade, quiet in the corner of a room whether lit or off.
This is the black version, with the base, frame and head powder-coated to a matt finish. It stands 1180mm tall on a 200mm foot, a low reading height that tucks neatly beside an armchair, a sofa or a desk where a directed light is wanted without a bulky standard lamp.
It takes one GX53 bulb up to 9W, which is included, on a black PVC lead with an in-line switch, so it plugs in and lights straight away. The GX53 cap keeps the head slim, and the bulb can be swapped for a warmer or cooler white to suit the room.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Dodo give?
A directed pool rather than a room-wide wash. The head tilts, so you can aim the GX53 bulb down onto a book, a desk or a chair arm, which makes it a reading and task light more than a background one.
Does it come with a bulb and is it ready to plug in?
Yes. A GX53 bulb up to 9W is included, and the lamp has a black PVC lead with an in-line switch fitted, so it arrives ready to run straight from the box.
Is it dimmable?
Dimming depends on the GX53 bulb fitted. With a dimmable GX53 lamp on a compatible plug-in dimmer the light can be lowered; the lamp itself switches on and off at the cable.
How big is it and where does it suit?
It stands 1180mm tall on a 200mm base, a low reading height that suits beside an armchair, a sofa or a desk. The tilting head lets you point the light onto whatever you are reading or working on.
