Description

This pair of black iron candle holders is built around a ribbon of flat metal that winds upwards in a looping curve before it meets a small cup for the candle. Each holder stands on a round, flat disc of iron, and the two are not twins: one is 17.5cm tall and the other 20cm tall, so the cups sit at different heights when you place them side by side. Both are 10cm long and 7.5cm wide, a footprint small enough for a windowsill or a narrow shelf. The taller one curls over at the top to cradle its cup, while the shorter one finishes at its base in a little hooked tail.

A pair at two heights is an easy way to give a mantelpiece or dining table some rhythm. Set them close together so the curves seem to answer each other, or split them between the two ends of a sideboard. They suit a hallway console, a deep windowsill or a bookcase shelf with a little clearance overhead, on an ordinary weeknight as much as for a celebration.
