Description

The Devon is a one-light flush ceiling light made of brass. It has a round ceiling plate with a single cylindrical lampholder beneath it, so the bulb sits bare and on show. It is compact, 8.5cm tall and 12cm across, and keeps close to the ceiling where a hanging pendant would be in the way. It takes one E27 bulb, up to 60W per bulb, and bulbs are sold separately, so you choose the bulb that gives the look and light you want. We offer it in a choice of finishes: Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass, Matt Black, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome, Polished Copper, Satin Brass and Satin Chrome.

Its short drop makes it a natural choice for a hallway, where a light needs to stay neat and out of the way as you come and go. The bare lampholder suits a plain, practical scheme. The choice of finishes lets you match it to the door furniture and metalwork already in the house. Antique Brass, Natural Brass, Polished Brass, Satin Brass and Polished Copper give a warm, traditional hallway. Polished Chrome, Satin Chrome or Antique Silver give a cooler look. Matt Black, which is RAL 9005, gives a crisp contrast against a pale ceiling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is made for use indoors.

Every Devon is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass, and given the finish you pick when you order. It is a mains fitting, so it is for a qualified electrician to wire in to the mains. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered by that guarantee. Settle on the finish that suits your hallway, add your bulb, and the Devon is ready for your electrician to fit. Our photographs show the Satin Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome and Polished Copper finishes.
