Description

The Dernessa is a compact table lamp with a round steel base and a slim stem in satin nickel, topped with a grey fabric drum shade. It stands 40cm tall and measures 18cm in diameter, while the round base is 15cm wide, so it settles neatly onto a bedside table, a desk or a narrow console without crowding the surface. It takes an E27 bulb with a maximum of 60W, and the bulb is not included, so you can choose the brightness and colour of light that suit the room. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms, well away from bathrooms and steamy kitchens.

We like it most beside a bed, where the fabric shade turns the bulb into a gentle, even glow for reading at night, and it works as well in a pair either side of a sofa or a double bed. The grey shade and satin nickel finish are neutral enough to sit happily with warm woods, white walls or darker painted rooms, so it suits a guest bedroom, a home office or a hallway table equally well.
