Description

The Deniz is a flush ceiling light with a round glass globe that sits close to the ceiling, 28cm tall and 20cm across. A brass ceiling plate and a brass gallery with small thumbscrews hold the globe, and it is a single light. We make it in Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass, Matt Black, White and Satin Brass. The globe comes in Clear or Opal glass. Clear glass leaves the bulb on view and gives a bright, open light; Opal glass softens it into an even glow. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb, up to 6.5W per bulb (LED).

Rated IP44, the Deniz suits a bathroom, where Opal glass gives a soft, even light across the room. Because it sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging, it is just as at home in a hallway, where a pendant would be in the way of people passing beneath it. Clear glass makes the bulb part of the look, which suits a hallway you want to feel bright and welcoming. The brass finishes bring warmth to a period home, while Matt Black and White keep things simple in a plainer scheme.

Each light is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass and glass. Matt Black is painted in RAL 9005 and White in RAL 9010. It is a Class II fitting, wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. When you order, choose the finish and the glass that suit your room, and pick an LED bulb of no more than 6.5W to keep within the fitting's limit. Our photographs show the Polished Brass finish.
