Description

The Delta is a long, low wall light: a matt black bar 830mm across that holds 6 G9 lamps behind shiny opal polycarbonate diffusers. It casts light both up and down the wall, so it grazes the surface above and below in two soft bands rather than throwing one flat spread. Unlit, it reads as a clean black line; lit, it draws a pair of warm washes along the wall.

The 6 lamps give a bright, lively output for a wall piece, with the diffusers smoothing each G9 into an even glow instead of a row of hot points. The bar is only 90mm tall and sits 35mm off the wall, so it stays flat against a hallway, a stairwell or a living room wall and lights the length of it. The up and down throw makes it a quiet source of ambient light rather than a reading lamp.

The body is powder-coated aluminium in matt black, with opal polycarbonate diffusers front and back. It takes 6 G9 lamps and these are included, so it lights as soon as it is wired, and the caps can be swapped later to set the warmth or brightness you prefer. It runs at a fixed level and, rated IP20, is made for dry indoor walls, so we would have an electrician connect it.

It is non-dimmable as supplied, running at a fixed level. Dimming would depend on fitting dimmable G9 lamps together with a compatible wall dimmer, which an electrician can advise on.
