Description

The Deco is a floor lamp built from a slim metal column finished in hand-applied gold leaf, rising from a square walnut-finish wooden base to a tall drum shade in ecru faux-silk fabric. It stands 172cm high, which places the shade above the eyeline of a seated reader and lets light spread outward and downward across a wide pool. A single E27 lampholder sits inside the shade, and the lamp is supplied with a 10W E27 LED bulb, so it arrives ready to plug in and use.

It suits a living room beside a sofa or armchair, or a bedroom corner where a floor-standing light adds a second, softer source alongside the main ceiling fitting. The square base measures 43cm on each side and gives the lamp a low centre of gravity, while the fabric shade diffuses the bulb to a soft, even glow rather than a sharp beam. At 10.5kg it stays firmly in place once positioned, and the black cable runs from the base to a nearby socket.

The gold leaf is applied by hand over the metal frame, so slight variation in tone and coverage between individual lamps is normal and part of the finish. The base carries a walnut wood finish that grounds the gold with a warmer, darker tone, while the ecru shade keeps the top of the lamp light and neutral. The lamp is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, and its Class 2 construction is double-insulated, so it does not require an earth connection.

Yes. The lamp is supplied with one 10W E27 LED bulb, so it is ready to use out of the box. The E27 lampholder also accepts standard screw-fit bulbs if you later want to change the brightness or tone of the light.
