Description

The Dasan is a 200mm long cylindrical pendant light with a 60mm diameter black aluminium body and a downward-facing GU10 lamp holder. The pendant hangs on a 750mm grey cable from a slim circular ceiling rose, with the cable length fixed at installation. The cylindrical form directs light downward in a narrow beam determined by the GU10 bulb fitted, making it suited to accent or task lighting rather than general ambient illumination.

Designed for suspension over kitchen islands, dining tables, bar counters and reception desks where focused downlight is needed, the Dasan works as a single pendant or in multiples spaced along a run. The 60mm diameter and 200mm drop give the fitting a low visual mass that suits contemporary interiors without dominating smaller rooms. Installers benefit from the tool-free cable termination system, which uses a push-fit connector inside the ceiling rose to simplify loop-in and loop-out wiring during second fix.

The black aluminium finish provides a matt surface that absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping attention on the illuminated surface below. The aluminium construction weighs less than steel equivalents, reducing strain on plasterboard ceiling fixings. The pendant accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 10W, including dimmable and non-dimmable LED options, with the final dimming capability dependent on the bulb chosen. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor areas only.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 10W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 5-7W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for task lighting over kitchen islands or dining tables.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming capability depends on the GU10 bulb fitted. The pendant itself is compatible with both dimmable and non-dimmable GU10 LEDs. If dimming is needed, choose a dimmable GU10 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

The 750mm cable is fixed length and cannot be shortened or extended after installation. For lower or higher ceiling drops, Knightsbridge offers the Dasan in a short-body variant with different cable options.

Can multiple pendants be installed in a row?

Yes. The tool-free loop-in and loop-out termination system allows multiple Dasan pendants to be wired in series along a single circuit, making it straightforward to install three or five pendants spaced evenly over a kitchen island or dining table.
