Description

A wreath 39cm across and 14cm deep, built from very fine iron wire cut and assembled into a dense ring of twigs that radiate outward from the centre. Small clear glass beads are fixed along the wires, a few to each twig, so they sit through the depth of the ring rather than only on its face. A cord is tied at the top. It weighs 0.83kg.

Thirty-nine centimetres reads at a distance because the ring is open: the wall shows through it, and the twigs break the outline instead of closing it. Hung on a wall, the fourteen centimetres of depth throws a scribble of shadow behind it. The beads are the only part that catches light directly.

The wire is iron under a brass finish and the beads are recycled glass, added by hand once the ring is assembled. The Danvi range also holds a 120cm garland and a set of three drop baubles.
