Dahlia Rectangle Wall Mirror - Silver

The Dahlia is an 86 x 61cm rectangular wall mirror with a carved wood frame finished in silver. The frame carries a leaf-and-vine motif running continuously around all four edges, with a beaded inner border separating the carved outer edge from the mirror glass. The 3.5cm frame depth gives the mirror a three-dimensional presence on the wall.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living rooms where a full-length or portrait-format mirror is needed, the Dahlia hangs vertically with D-rings on the back. The 86cm height makes it suitable for checking an outfit before leaving the house or as a dressing mirror mounted above a chest of drawers. In hallways with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the mirror can be centred at eye level (around 150-160cm from the floor) to balance the vertical space.

The wood frame is finished in a metallic silver that leans towards antique pewter rather than bright chrome, with darker tones settling into the carved recesses of the leaf pattern. This gives the frame tonal variation under natural light and pairs well with cooler greys, soft whites and traditional interiors where polished brass or gold would feel too warm. What fixings are needed to hang the mirror?

The mirror has D-rings on the back for wall mounting. Given the weight range of 7-20kg, use wall plugs rated for at least 25kg on masonry walls, or locate timber studs if mounting on plasterboard. We recommend two fixings rather than one to prevent the mirror rotating on the wall.

Can it be hung horizontally?

Yes. The frame design is symmetrical, so the mirror can be hung in landscape orientation if preferred. The D-ring positions on the back may need to be adjusted or supplemented depending on how they're currently set.

How is the frame cleaned?

Wipe the carved frame with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust from the leaf detail. For the mirror glass, use standard glass cleaner applied to a cloth rather than sprayed directly onto the surface, to avoid liquid running into the gap between glass and frame.
