Description

The Crystal is a 92x62cm rectangle wall mirror with a bevelled mirror frame made up of angled faceted sections that create a geometric border around the central mirror pane. The frame sections are cut and angled so that each facet catches and reflects light differently, giving the border visual depth and movement as the viewer's position changes. The mirror sits on a 2cm-thick wooden backing for structural support and weighs 8kg complete.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, dressing areas and above console tables, the mirror suits spaces where a reflective surface is needed without adding heavy colour or material texture to the wall. The bevelled frame border adds approximately 10-15cm to each side beyond the central mirror pane, so the total footprint including the faceted border sits around 92x62cm overall. The faceted construction means the frame appears wider or narrower depending on viewing angle and available light.

The wood backing provides mounting stability and prevents the mirror from warping over time in centrally heated rooms. At 8kg the mirror requires two wall fixings into solid wall or into studs if mounting on plasterboard — the weight distribution across 92cm width means a single central fixing is insufficient. The faceted mirror sections around the border are individually cut and fitted, so minor variation in the geometry between individual mirrors is normal for this style of hand-assembled frame.

How is the mirror mounted?

The 8kg weight requires two wall fixings spaced approximately 60-70cm apart horizontally. For plasterboard walls, fixings must locate into timber studs or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated for at least 10kg each. Solid brick or masonry walls can use standard wall plugs and screws.

Does the faceted frame add to the overall size?

Yes. The 92x62cm dimension is the overall footprint including the bevelled mirror frame sections. The central flat mirror pane is smaller, with the faceted border sections adding approximately 10-15cm to each edge.

Can it be hung portrait or landscape?

The mirror is supplied for portrait (vertical) orientation as shown. It can be rotated to landscape orientation if preferred, but the fixing points on the back are positioned for vertical hanging.

How is the mirror cleaned?

Use a standard glass cleaner on a soft microfibre cloth for both the central mirror pane and the bevelled frame sections. The angled facets collect more dust than a flat mirror, so periodic cleaning of the frame border keeps the reflective quality sharp.
