Description

The Crown is a 94 x 69cm rectangle wall mirror enclosed in a hand-carved wood frame finished in metallic silver. The frame features continuous scroll and wave moulding around all four edges, with deeper carved relief at the corners and a raised beaded inner border separating the ornament from the mirror glass. The 4cm depth and 7-20kg weight give the mirror a substantial presence on the wall.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living room chimney breasts where a traditional decorative mirror is needed above a console table or mantelpiece, the Crown works in both portrait and landscape orientation. The rectangular proportions suit vertical wall spaces between 100-120cm in height, and the silver finish reflects ambient and natural light back into the room, making darker hallways and north-facing bedrooms feel brighter without introducing additional light fittings.

The wood frame is carved in sections and joined at mitred corners, with each scroll and wave pattern cut by hand before the silver finish is applied. The metallic silver finish on the wood frame can be dusted with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the wood or using household polish, as this can dull the metallic coating over time.
