Description

The Crelvette is a round LED flush ceiling light in white, 31cm across and 6cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling and suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel low. A white steel body carries a white plastic shade with a soft opal finish that spreads 1,800lm of light evenly across the room. The LEDs are integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.

Because it is a smart light, it suits the rooms where you want the mood to change through the day: a bedroom, a living room, a hallway or a home office. You can control it from an app, and it works with Zigbee smart home systems, so it can join a setup you already run. It also works with a remote control, sold separately; none comes in the box. The colour temperature adjusts from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K, so the same ceiling light gives you a gentle glow for winding down in the evening and a crisp, bright white for reading or working. It is dimmable and colour-changing as well, which means one fitting covers everything from a low, soft light to full brightness.

The light runs on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains supply and is a wired-in fitting, so a qualified electrician should install it; the installation instructions come as a download. There is no switch on the fitting itself, as it is switched at the wall. At 0.41KG it is easy to handle while it is being fitted. The energy class is D, and the LED and driver can be replaced by a specialist, so a single worn part does not mean replacing the whole light. Keep it to dry rooms, well clear of water, which is exactly what its IP20 rating requires.
