Cravessa Glass Linear Pendant Light - Black

The Cravessa is a three-light linear pendant in black, with three teardrop shades hanging in a row from a slim black ceiling bar. Each shade is a cage of fine black steel wires around a white satin glass inner diffuser, so the bulb is hidden and the satin glass softens its light. The whole fitting is 99cm long, 19cm wide and 110cm high overall. It takes three E27 bulbs, each up to 60W, and the bulbs are not included, so you can pick the colour of light you prefer. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

Its long, narrow shape makes it a natural choice over a dining table, where three drops spread the light along the length of the table rather than pooling it in the centre. It works just as well over a breakfast bar, and in an open-plan space it marks out the eating area while the rest of the room stays uncluttered. The black wire and white glass sit happily with pale wood, grey upholstery and white walls, and they suit a modern scheme as easily as a more industrial one. Because the cages are open, the shades look light and airy rather than heavy, even in a smaller dining room.

The body and the ceiling bar are steel in black, and each shade pairs its black steel wire cage with a white satin glass diffuser. There is no switch on the fitting itself; it is switched at the wall, so it runs from your existing light switch.
