Cotton Wall Light 10cm - White Glass

The Cotton is a wall light built around a plump globe of white acid-etched blown glass that sits close to the wall on a small metal base. The frosted glass spreads a soft, even glow in every direction rather than a directed beam, so lit it reads as a gentle ball of light and unlit as a plain white sphere. This is the smallest of the three sizes, a neat 100mm globe that keeps its presence low.

At 100mm across and standing 70mm off the wall, it works as a quiet, close-set light: a pair either side of a bed, a run along a hallway, or a single glow beside a mirror or doorway. Its rounded shape and diffuse output suit bedrooms, bathrooms and landings where soft light matters more than reach.

The base is powder-painted metal and the diffuser is white acid-etched blown glass. It takes a single GX53 bulb up to 9W, which is included, so the colour temperature follows whichever lamp is fitted. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms and arrives ready to wire to the wall.

What kind of light does the Cotton give?

A soft, diffuse glow. The white acid-etched glass globe spreads light evenly around itself rather than throwing a beam, so it reads as a gentle ball of light on the wall.

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. It takes a single GX53 bulb up to 9W and one is included, so it arrives ready to fit and light. Because it runs on a replaceable bulb, the colour of the light follows whichever lamp you use.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimming depends on the bulb fitted. Fit a dimmable GX53 lamp on a compatible dimmer switch and it will dim; a standard bulb will not. We can advise on the right lamp before you order.

How big is it and where does it suit?

The glass globe is 100mm across and sits 70mm off the wall, the smallest of the three sizes. It suits a bedside pair, a hallway run or a spot beside a mirror or door.
