Description

The Cotswold Lane is a 229mm diameter outdoor chain pendant with two E14 candle bulb fittings behind clear bevelled glass panels, set within a black cast aluminium frame. The vertical glass panes are topped with architectural ribbed moulding that recalls Victorian gas lanterns, while the lower gallery curves out on scrolled brackets before tapering to a decorative finial.

Designed for covered porches, carriage entrance canopies and pergolas with weather protection overhead, the IP23 rating protects against rain droplets angled up to 60° from vertical but not direct horizontal spray. The 1000mm chain allows the drop to be set between 488mm and 1550mm on installation, placing the lantern 700-900mm below the fixing point for typical porch ceilings of 2.2-2.4m height. The black finish is a powder-coated aluminium that resists corrosion in sheltered outdoor locations.

Each of the four vertical glass panels is bevelled along its edges, catching and refracting light from the two internal candle bulbs and creating subtle prismatic patterns on surrounding walls after dark. The lantern body measures 464mm in height from the lower finial to the top of the canopy gallery, giving substantial presence above a front door without overwhelming a typical residential entrance. The black finish pairs with both traditional render and brick facades and contemporary dark-painted timber or metal cladding.
