Description

The Cosmos is a 9-light pendant with ribbed glass globes arranged on curved cream-painted metal arms radiating from a central hub, each arm finished with an aged brass socket. Each globe houses an E14 bulb (sold separately) and the ribbed glass pattern refracts light outward while diffusing brightness across the room. The cream-painted frame contrasts with the aged brass detailing at the canopy, hub and nine sockets.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or higher, the Cosmos provides multi-point ambient lighting across a 672mm diameter spread. The drop is adjustable on installation between 662mm minimum and 1664mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a dining table or positioned lower in double-height spaces. The nine light points distribute brightness evenly without creating harsh shadows or concentrated hotspots.

Each ribbed glass globe measures approximately 120mm in diameter and the pattern cut into the glass creates vertical lines that catch light and add texture when viewed from the side. The cream paint on the metal frame has a matte finish that absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping visual focus on the glass globes themselves. The aged brass accents show tonal variation and slight patina that softens the contrast between the cream frame and the warmer brass. At 672mm wide the pendant suits tables 1.6-2.2m long or entrance halls with floor areas of 12-16m².

What bulbs does the Cosmos take?

The pendant takes nine E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 8W LED. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining room or living room lighting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 662mm to 1664mm. For positioning above a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above. The 672mm diameter also requires sufficient horizontal clearance around the table.

Is the drop adjustable after installation?

The drop is adjusted during installation by shortening or lengthening the suspension rod before the pendant is wired and fixed. Once installed the drop cannot be adjusted without removing the fitting and re-installing.

Can the glass globes be cleaned?

Yes. The ribbed glass globes can be wiped with a soft dry cloth or a slightly damp microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning the globes can be removed from their aged brass sockets after the bulbs are removed and the power is isolated, then washed in warm soapy water and dried before refitting.
