Description

The Corvane Medium is a 640mm slim cylindrical wall light formed from a single tube of natural Spanish alabaster, capped at the top and base with solid copper end fittings in a soft white finish. An integrated 7W LED runs the length of the cylinder, casting warm 3000K light through the stone so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser. The slim 60mm diameter and 45mm projection keep the fitting tight to the wall.

The vertical orientation suits hallways, stairwell walls, bedside positions and either side of a bathroom mirror or dressing area where a tall, narrow column of light is wanted without bulky bracketry. At 640mm tall it sits between the smaller and larger Corvane variants, working well in standard 2.4-2.7m ceiling rooms where a full-height column would feel oversized. The uninterrupted cylindrical form draws the eye upward and emphasises ceiling height in narrower spaces.

Each alabaster tube is cut and finished individually, so the mineral veining, cloudy patches and tonal shifts vary between pieces. When lit, the layered patterning becomes the visual feature — light passes through thinner sections more brightly than denser veined areas, giving the column natural movement rather than a flat glow. The soft white copper end caps frame the stone without competing with it, keeping the overall composition quiet and architectural.
