Description

The Corona is a 400mm drum pendant light with a pleated cream fabric shade wrapped in bronze dark brown metal hoops, accented with brass vertical struts and an opal white glass diffuser beneath. Three E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the drum, casting light through the pleated fabric and down through the frosted glass base. The fitting can be installed as a pendant with adjustable drop from 206mm to 1233mm, or converted to a semi-flush ceiling light by omitting the suspension rod.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and hallways with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, the Corona provides both ambient and downward task light. As a pendant, the adjustable drop allows the fitting to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or kitchen island. As a semi-flush, the 206mm projection suits rooms where a full pendant would hang too low, such as bedrooms, lower-ceiling hallways, or above landings. The bronze dark brown frame and brass accents pair with both warm wood tones and cooler greys.

The pleated fabric shade diffuses light horizontally while the opal glass base spreads light evenly downward, eliminating harsh shadows beneath the fitting. The fabric is tensioned between the two metal hoops, giving the drum a taut cylindrical profile without sagging. Each of the three E27 sockets accepts bulbs up to 60W, allowing flexibility to choose LED, halogen or filament bulbs depending on the desired light temperature and brightness. The bronze finish on the metalwork has a low-sheen satin texture that softens reflections.

Can this be used as both a pendant and a semi-flush?

Yes. The Corona ships with a suspension rod allowing pendant installation with drop adjusted from 206mm to 1233mm. The rod can be omitted during installation to convert the fitting to a semi-flush ceiling light with a 206mm projection from the ceiling.

What bulbs does it take?

Three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living spaces.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen. LED bulbs must be marked as dimmable on the packaging. Pair dimmable bulbs with a compatible LED dimmer switch for full dimming functionality.

How is the fabric shade cleaned?

The pleated fabric can be dusted with a soft dry brush or microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric or using household sprays, as these can stain or discolour the pleats.
