Description

The Corona is a 400mm drum pendant light with a pleated white satin fabric shade, frosted glass side panels and a large opal white glass diffuser at the base. Three E27 bulbs sit inside the drum (sold separately), with the frosted glass and opal diffuser working together to distribute soft, even light downwards and outwards through the fabric pleats.

Designed for dining rooms, living spaces and hallways with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Corona can also be fitted as a semi-flush ceiling light by shortening the drop to its minimum 206mm on installation. The maximum 1233mm drop gives flexibility to position the pendant at the right height above a dining table or kitchen island. The white powder-coated metal canopy and frame provide clean lines that pair with both contemporary and traditional interiors.

The pleated white satin shade diffuses light through the fabric while the frosted glass panels soften the visible glow from the bulbs, preventing glare when viewed from the side. The opal diffuser at the base ensures light cast downwards is even and shadow-free. At 400mm diameter the Corona provides substantial presence over a 4-6 seat dining table without overwhelming smaller dining rooms or open-plan kitchen-diners.

What bulbs does the Corona take?

The Corona takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living spaces.

Can this be fitted as a semi-flush ceiling light?

Yes. The drop is adjustable on installation from 206mm minimum to 1233mm maximum. Shortening the cable and chain to the 206mm minimum converts the pendant into a semi-flush fitting for rooms with lower ceilings or where a closer-to-ceiling profile is preferred.

What size dining table does it suit?

At 400mm diameter the Corona works well over 4-6 seat rectangular or round dining tables, typically 120-180cm in length. For larger tables above 180cm consider pairing two Corona pendants or choosing a larger diameter fitting.

How is the fabric shade cleaned?

The white satin pleated shade can be dusted gently with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a barely-damp cloth with plain water, working in the direction of the pleats. Avoid chemical sprays or polishes on the fabric.
