Description

The Corona is a 300mm drum pendant light with a white satin metal frame, a pleated off-white fabric shade wrapped around the drum, and frosted glass panels on the sides. The base of the drum houses an opal white glass diffuser that encloses two E27 bulb fittings. The pleated fabric and frosted glass combine to diffuse light evenly in all directions, casting a soft ambient glow rather than focused task light.

The fitting can be installed as either a pendant (maximum 1218mm drop from ceiling to base of drum) or as a semi-flush ceiling light (minimum 192mm drop, bringing the drum close to the ceiling). This dual-fitting capability makes it suited to rooms with variable ceiling heights or where a lower profile is preferred. The height is adjustable on installation by shortening the cable and chain run inside the white metal stem. It works over dining tables, in hallways, in bedrooms as central ambient lighting, and in kitchens where a softer alternative to downlights is needed.

The white satin finish on the metal frame and canopy provides a low-sheen surface that pairs comfortably with white ceilings and neutral wall colours. The pleated fabric shade adds texture without pattern, keeping the fitting visually calm. The drum height of 178mm and 300mm diameter make it proportionate for rooms between 3m and 4.5m wide. Can this be fitted as a semi-flush ceiling light?

Yes. The Corona can be installed as either a pendant (with a drop of up to 1218mm) or as a semi-flush ceiling light (minimum 192mm drop from ceiling to base of drum). The cable and chain are shortened during installation to achieve the desired drop height.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting has two E27 (Edison screw) sockets, each rated for bulbs up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose warm-white LED bulbs (2700K-3000K, 6-10W) for residential ambient lighting.

What size room does it suit?

The 300mm diameter makes the Corona proportionate for rooms between 3m and 4.5m wide. It works well over dining tables, in hallways, bedrooms, and kitchens as central ambient lighting rather than task lighting.

Is the fabric shade removable for cleaning?

The pleated fabric shade is fixed to the metal drum frame. For light dust, use a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to low suction. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp microfibre cloth can be used on the metal frame and frosted glass panels, but avoid soaking the fabric.
