Description

The Corona is a 300mm drum pendant light with a pleated cream fabric shade wrapped in bronze and gold metal banding, housing two E27 bulb fittings behind a frosted glass diffuser. The shade sits on a bronze frame with gold vertical support struts, suspended from a matching bronze canopy on an adjustable stem. The pleated fabric creates vertical texture around the drum while the frosted glass base panel diffuses light downward and the translucent fabric sidewalls allow light to escape horizontally.

Designed for dual-function use, the Corona can be fitted as a pendant with a drop adjustable between 192mm and 1218mm on installation, or converted to a semi-flush configuration where the shade mounts close to the ceiling with minimal projection. This makes it suitable for rooms with varying ceiling heights, from 2.4m dining rooms where the pendant hangs 700-800mm above a table to hallways or bedrooms with lower ceilings where the semi-flush configuration keeps headroom clear. The 300mm diameter works over small dining tables, breakfast bar ends, or as bedroom task lighting.

The bronze frame finish has a dark brown undertone that reads warmer than matt black, while the gold struts and banding add accent detail without dominating the overall appearance. The pleated fabric shade softens the metal framework and diffuses the two E27 bulbs (sold separately, max 60W each) into ambient room lighting rather than direct task light. When lit, the combination of downward light through the frosted glass base and sidewall glow through the fabric provides even illumination across a 3-4m radius without harsh shadows.

Can this be fitted as both a pendant and a semi-flush?

Yes. The Corona ships with components for both pendant and semi-flush installation. In pendant mode the drop is adjustable between 192mm and 1218mm. In semi-flush mode the shade mounts close to the ceiling with minimal projection, suitable for rooms with lower ceilings.

What bulbs does it take?

The Corona takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or bedroom lighting.

Is the fabric shade washable?

The pleated fabric shade should be dusted with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. Avoid water or spray cleaners as they may stain the fabric or weaken the pleating structure.

What ceiling height is needed for pendant mode?

For pendant installation over a dining table, a ceiling height of 2.4m or above works well with the shade hanging 700-800mm above the table surface. Lower ceilings can use the semi-flush configuration instead.
