Description

The Norlys Corner Bracket 4 is a black powder-coated metal mounting bracket designed to position outdoor wall lights and lanterns on building corners. The bracket consists of a vertical faceplate with a central aperture for the light fitting, plus two perpendicular mounting wings that fix to adjacent walls meeting at a 90-degree corner. This configuration allows an outdoor wall light to be installed on the corner itself rather than flat against a single wall.

Designed for situations where a corner location is preferred due to existing wiring runs, architectural symmetry, or the need to illuminate two sides of a building from a single fitting, the bracket suits lantern-style wall lights and similar outdoor fixtures with rear-entry cable access. The black powder-coated finish resists corrosion from rain and coastal air, and the metal construction provides rigid support without flexing under the weight of typical lantern-style fittings.

The bracket measures approximately 180mm in height, with the mounting wings extending approximately 75mm on each side. Four fixing holes (two per wing) accept wall plugs and screws for installation into brick, rendered blockwork or timber cladding. The central aperture accommodates light fittings with a back plate width up to approximately 90mm. Once installed, the bracket positions the light slightly proud of the corner, allowing the lantern to project forward and distribute light along both adjacent walls.

Does it come with fixings?

Fixings are not included. You will need wall plugs and screws appropriate to your wall construction — typically M6 or M8 screws with corresponding plugs for brick or blockwork, or wood screws for timber cladding.

Can it be used indoors?

Yes, though it is designed primarily for outdoor use. The powder-coated finish and metal construction are over-specified for indoor conditions, but the bracket will function equally well on internal corners if the aesthetic suits the interior.
