Description

The Corbena is a rattan pendant light that pairs a black steel wire cage with a band of natural woven rattan. The cage forms a gentle dome, and the rattan wraps its middle, leaving open black wirework at the crown and around the lower rim. It is 37cm across and 110cm tall overall, measured from the ceiling rose to the bottom of the cage. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, so the colour and warmth of the light are yours to choose. With an IP20 rating it belongs indoors, in rooms that stay dry.

At 37cm across, it is well sized for a dining table, a kitchen island or a hallway, and it suits a living room or bedroom that leans towards natural textures such as linen, wood, jute and cane. The black frame gives the shade a crisp outline against a pale wall or ceiling, while the rattan brings warmth and softness to the room. Because the wirework is open at the crown and the rim, the shade looks airy rather than solid, even in a smaller space. Hang one on its own, or several in a line along a longer table.

The body is steel finished in black, and the uprights of the cage thread through the rattan, holding the woven band in place. There is no switch on the light itself: it works from your wall switch. As a mains light wired into the ceiling, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 1.534KG.
