The Contessa is a small square lampshade with a tapered form, black fabric outer, and lined interior. The shade measures 13cm across the top aperture, 25.5cm across the base, and stands 23cm tall, creating a bell-like taper from a narrow top to a wider base. The black fabric is stretched over a wire frame and shows a fine visible weave when lit from inside.

Designed for table lamps and bedside lighting where directional downward light is needed, the Contessa pairs a compact footprint with enough height to sit proportionally on a lamp base between 30-45cm tall. The 13cm top aperture accepts most standard BC (B22) and ES (E27) lamp holders fitted to table lamp bases. The lined interior prevents the bulb from being visible through the fabric when the lamp is switched on and softens the light thrown downward onto the surface beneath.
