Coniston Tall 6 Light Crystal Bathroom Wall Light - Antique Brass

The Coniston Tall is a 6-light crystal wall light built on an antique brass backplate with six tiers of facet-cut clear crystal droplets arranged in a cascading waterfall profile. Each tier steps outward from the wall, creating a 180mm projection and a 390mm overall height. Six G9 bulb fittings sit between the crystal tiers, lighting the droplets from within and casting refracted patterns across bathroom walls and mirrors.

Rated IP44 for bathroom zones 2 and 3, the Coniston is designed for mounting either side of a vanity mirror, flanking a freestanding bath, or as a standalone accent on a feature wall in larger bathrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The antique brass finish combines a warm gold base tone with darker aged patina in the recesses, giving depth to the metalwork and contrasting with the clear crystal. The 310mm width and substantial 4.5kg weight provide visual presence without overwhelming typical 1.8-2.2m wide vanity installations.

Each of the six G9 fittings accepts bulbs up to 10W (sold separately), giving control over total light output and colour temperature. The light is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 LEDs and a compatible dimmer. The crystal droplets are individually fixed to the brass frame, allowing the light to pass through each facet and creating the characteristic sparkle associated with cut-crystal wall lights. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes but not direct jets, so the fitting should be mounted outside shower cubicles and away from bath taps.

The IP44 rating makes the Coniston suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 — outside the shower cubicle and bath surround, and beyond 0.6m from taps and showerheads. It is not rated for zone 0 or zone 1 (inside a shower or directly above a bath).

What bulbs does it take?

The Coniston takes six G9 capsule bulbs up to 10W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white 2700K-3000K LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W per fitting for ambient bathroom lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming — dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you choose.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal droplet with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For water spots or bathroom residue, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the brass frame or using chemical cleaners on the antique brass finish.
