The Coniston is a 450mm diameter crystal pendant light built around six E14 bulb fittings concealed within a cascading arrangement of faceted clear crystal pieces. The crystals are layered in descending tiers that narrow toward the base, creating a rounded, almost spherical silhouette when viewed from below. A polished chrome canopy and chain suspend the pendant, with the chain concealing the cable run and allowing adjustment between 570mm and 1580mm drop.

Designed for dining rooms, hallways and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Coniston provides both ambient and decorative light. The six E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit within the crystal structure, with each bulb reflecting and refracting through multiple crystal surfaces before reaching the room. This creates a diffused, glittering light output rather than direct downlighting. The 450mm diameter suits tables up to 1.8m long or entrance halls where the pendant can be centred without overwhelming the width of the space.

Each crystal piece is individually faceted and positioned to overlap with neighbouring crystals, giving the pendant a dense, textured appearance when unlit and a shimmering depth when the bulbs are on. The polished chrome frame provides a cool metallic contrast to the warm tones that emerge when the crystals are lit with 2700K-3000K bulbs. What bulbs does the Coniston take?

The pendant takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to create warm reflections through the crystal. For dimming, use dimmable E14 bulbs with a compatible dimmer switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

The pendant's drop is adjustable between 570mm and 1580mm. For a dining table the fitting typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which requires a ceiling height of 2.4m or above. For hallways or living rooms where the pendant hangs free, the full 1580mm drop works in rooms with ceilings of 2.8m or higher.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool fully before cleaning. Wipe each crystal piece gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, then dry immediately with a soft cloth. Avoid household sprays or chemical cleaners, which can leave residue on the faceted surfaces.

What fixing is required for the weight?

At 13.7kg the Coniston requires a secure ceiling fixing into a joist or solid substrate. If fixing into plasterboard, use appropriate cavity fixings rated for the pendant's weight. The polished chrome canopy covers a standard UK ceiling rose.
