The Coniston is a 450mm crystal pendant light with six E14 bulb positions arranged inside a cascading sphere of faceted clear crystal pieces, suspended on an antique brass chain from a matching canopy. The crystal pieces are cut with curved edges and arranged in overlapping tiers that build outward from the top, forming a rounded profile that catches and refracts light in multiple directions when the bulbs are lit.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living areas with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Coniston provides both ambient and decorative illumination. The 1580mm maximum drop allows the pendant to be centred over a dining table at 700-800mm above the surface, while the minimum 570mm drop suits lower ceilings or closer-to-ceiling installations. The antique brass frame introduces a warm metallic tone that contrasts with the clear crystal, giving the pendant a traditional character that pairs with both classical and warm contemporary interiors.

Each crystal piece is individually fixed to the brass framework, creating a structured layering effect rather than a random cascade. The overall weight of 13.7kg requires adequate ceiling support and a secure ceiling rose fixing. The antique brass finish has a darker, slightly aged tone compared to polished or brushed brass, which reduces glare and gives the metallic elements a more subdued presence against the refracted light from the crystals.

What bulbs does it require?

The Coniston takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 20W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this pendant with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W each and 2700K-3000K colour temperature to complement the antique brass and create a warm ambient glow through the crystal.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with dimmable E14 bulbs. The pendant itself has no dimming circuitry — dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen and the dimmer switch fitted to the circuit. Confirm your bulbs are marked as dimmable before pairing with a dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 570mm suits ceiling heights from 2.4m upward if installed close to the ceiling. For installation over a dining table at the recommended 700-800mm above the surface, a ceiling height of 2.7m or higher is preferable to maintain headroom clearance around the table.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the pendant and allow bulbs to cool fully. Wipe each crystal piece with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid soaking the crystals or allowing water to run into the brass fittings. Do not use chemical sprays or abrasive cloths.
