Description

The Coniston is a 350mm flush crystal ceiling light with five G9 bulb fittings arranged behind tiered layers of faceted clear crystal, mounted on a French gold canopy. The crystal elements cascade in overlapping rows from a central dome, with each row angled to catch and refract light from the five internal bulb positions. The 330mm projection from ceiling to lowest crystal drop makes this a compact fitting designed for rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m.

Designed for bathrooms, cloakrooms and ensuite spaces where both decorative presence and moisture resistance are needed, the Coniston carries an IP44 rating suitable for bathroom zone two installation. The French gold finish on the metal frame and canopy adds warm metallic contrast against the clear crystal and works with traditional brass fixtures, warm-toned tiles, natural stone surfaces and transitional bathroom schemes. The flush mount sits directly against the ceiling with no visible pendant drop, keeping the fitting clear of head height in small or standard-height rooms.

The five G9 bulbs (sold separately, max 10W each) sit behind the crystal tiers rather than exposed, so the faceted crystal becomes the primary visible element when the light is on. Each crystal piece reflects and multiplies the light source, creating diffused ambient illumination rather than harsh direct light. The 8.1kg weight of the combined crystal and metal frame requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable ceiling backing. Yes. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zone two installation, which covers areas above the bath or shower cubicle where water spray is unlikely to reach. It is not rated for zone one (directly above a bath or inside a shower cubicle).

The Coniston takes five G9 capsule bulbs, maximum 10W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white G9 LED bulbs rated at 2700K-3000K for a soft ambient bathroom light.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and a compatible LED dimmer switch. The fitting itself is dimmer-compatible but standard non-dimmable G9 LEDs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.
