The Coniston is a 4-light crystal bathroom wall light built around a polished chrome backplate and frame with six tiers of faceted clear crystal leaves cascading from top to bottom. Four G9 bulbs sit behind the crystals (bulbs sold separately, max 10W each), casting light through the faceted glass to create prismatic reflections across bathroom walls and mirrors. The IP44 rating protects the fitting against splashes from any direction, making it suitable for zones 2 and 3 in UK bathrooms.

What IP rating does the Coniston carry and where can it be used in a bathroom?

The fitting carries IP44 rating, protecting it against splashes from any direction. This makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 — the area outside the shower enclosure and more than 600mm from the edge of the bath. It cannot be installed directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure (zone 1) or within 600mm of a tap (zone 0).

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Coniston takes four G9 capsule bulbs up to 10W each. Bulbs are not included with the fitting. Most users pair it with 3-5W warm white LED G9 bulbs (2700K-3000K) for bathroom lighting that's bright enough for grooming tasks without being harsh.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, but only if you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all LED G9 capsules are dimmable, so check the bulb specification before purchasing.

Can it be mounted on plasterboard?

At 2.5kg the Coniston requires fixing into masonry, a timber stud or a plasterboard wall with appropriate cavity fixings rated for the weight. Standard plasterboard plugs are not sufficient — use metal cavity anchors or toggle bolts if fixing to plasterboard.
