Coniston 3 Light Crystal Pendant Light - French Gold

The Coniston is a 350mm crystal pendant light built around three E14 bulb fittings surrounded by overlapping tiers of clear faceted crystal droplets arranged in a spherical cascade. The crystals hang from a French gold frame suspended on a matching chain from a circular French gold canopy. Each crystal piece is shaped with smooth edges and angled facets that catch and refract light across the layered surface.

Designed for dining tables, hallways and bedroom positions where a compact decorative pendant is needed without dominating the space, the Coniston suits ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The 450-1490mm adjustable drop allows the pendant to be set 600-800mm above a dining table or side table depending on ceiling height. The three internal bulbs cast light outward through the crystal layers, turning the entire sphere into a diffused light source rather than pointing direct beams downward.

The French gold finish on the frame and canopy provides a warm metallic contrast to the clear crystal, sitting between polished brass and antique brass in tone. The 8kg weight comes from the combination of metal frame and multiple crystal pieces, requiring secure fixing to a ceiling joist or suitable anchor point. The crystals are hand-hung during manufacture, so slight variation in droplet positioning between individual units is normal.

What bulbs does it take?

The Coniston takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 20W. Bulbs are not included. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft decorative glow.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E14 bulbs. The pendant itself has no integrated dimmer circuitry, so dimming depends on using compatible bulbs and a suitable wall dimmer switch or smart bulb control.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 450-1490mm adjustable drop works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which requires approximately 2.6m ceiling height when using the minimum drop setting.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal droplet gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the crystals or getting moisture into the bulb fittings. Do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on crystal.
