The Coniston is a 350mm crystal pendant light with cascading tiers of clear faceted crystal pieces arranged in a spherical silhouette around an antique brass frame. Three E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the crystal layers, creating refracted light that multiplies across the faceted surfaces and casts complex patterns onto surrounding surfaces when lit.

Designed for dining tables, hallway landings and bedroom positions where a compact decorative pendant is needed, the 350mm diameter works in rooms with 2.4m+ ceilings without dominating smaller spaces. The adjustable drop ranges from 450mm to 1490mm, allowing the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a dining table or higher for circulation areas. The antique brass canopy and chain extend the warm metallic finish up to the ceiling rose, creating visual continuity with the frame below.

Each crystal piece is individually hung on the brass framework in overlapping tiers that narrow towards the bottom, forming the rounded cascade profile. The clear crystal provides full transparency when unlit and high refraction when illuminated, while the antique brass finish (darker and warmer than polished brass) adds depth to the metalwork visible between crystal layers. At 8kg the pendant carries substantial weight and requires secure ceiling fixings — installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.

What bulbs does the Coniston take?

The pendant takes three E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for traditional warmth, or filament-style LED candles for a visible glow inside the crystal layers.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. The crystal will show its full refraction at higher brightness and a softer glow when dimmed.

What ceiling height is needed?

The pendant suits rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings. For dining table positions, the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which requires approximately 2.5-2.7m ceiling height depending on drop setting. The chain is adjustable between 450mm and 1490mm during installation.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal piece gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but dry immediately to prevent water spots. Do not use household glass cleaners or spray directly onto the crystals, as residue can collect in the metalwork.
